Hard not to be impressed with the features on this feller. With 16 channels - 8 with mic inputs and one knob compressor/limiters, EQ, Aux sends with 2 built-in editable FX, FireWire and USB audio interfaces - switchable, you can hook this baord up to your computer and use it as a hub for your audio setup.
But in addition, there's an audio recording function - stick a USB drive in, hit record, and there's 16 discrete WAV files written directly to your drive - no computer required or indeed two-track from the main stereo outs. Thats some pretty cool features right there, and the price? Well of course its low - $799.
I was pretty amazed and will definitely want to check one out when they become available.
Available later in the year.
