iPadnewsdaily.com and TLDToday have revealed that an event announced by Apple to take place on March 2nd, could very well be the unveiling of the much awaited iPad 2.
We have reason to believe that Apple's next gen tablet is likely to have a more memory, an upgraded graphics processor, and a smaller frame (with the screen remaining the same size). If this is all true then the tablet will be lighter than the existing iPad.
News has already broken that distributors are preparing shipments of the new iPad, Genius Electronics is also rumoured to be manufacturing cameras and lenses compatible with the tablet, fueling speculation about a video/camera capability.
Whatever Apple has in store for us, it's likely that the buzz will keep on going until the event, and for quite a long time after. The competition in the tablet market is bigger and stronger now than at the first iPad release, so you can pretty much bet your pension fund that Apple's marketing will be as hot and unavoidable as ever.
Thanks to TLD for their brilliant (as always) video coverage on the iPad 2's development.
