Tempo-synced Cymbal Sounds

Most sound libraries that offer cymbal crescendo rolls present several issues: there aren't enough, the length and/or dynamics aren't always right, and they slow the composer's work flow by forcing the micro-management of sample and MIDI start times.

To address these issues, four of the seven cymbals sampled for Stickbreakers Vol 3 offer tempo-sync'd crescendo rolls ranging from one to eight beats AND dynamic controllable rolls using the modwheel. With these options, it is only a matter of hitting a key in time with the track to get the crescendo's apex in just the right place.

Beyond the sync'd rolls, Stickbreakers' seven cymbals offer a broad range of articulations, including: soft mallet hits, stick hits, brush hits, piatti and piatti with performed chokes.

And creating cues requiring tension, mystery or a sci-fi feel are made easy by the inclusion of well organized and simple-to-use sound menus of bowed, brushed and scraped cymbals (and a gong, too!).

With a clear and beautiful sound, Stickbreakers Vol 3 will allows composers to work with cymbals easier, faster and with greater control.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• 4.3 GB of 44.1kHz/24bit samples (1800+) and 32 Kontakt 4 instrument patches. Download is 2.4 GB, split into multiple files.

• "All" patches are available that combine similar articulations of different cymbals into single patches to help reduce track count.

• Intuitive interface controls include: articulation box (displays the articulation type when key is pressed) convolution reverb (with 34 custom IR .wavs), saturation, stereo width, velocity curve, low and high pass filters, delay, low, mid and high EQ gain, AHDSR, remap knob.

• Stickbreakers Vol 3 is compatible with full retail versions of Kontakt 4.2.2.4504 or higher. The free Kontakt Player will only allow a few minutes of use before timing out.
