The Beat Thang is Really awesome thanks for the review maaayyn.
will the beat thang work with the yamaha mm6
@beatthang so sexy groovebox!!!111 What about polyphony of hardware (without using of computer)?
i really didn't think that demo video made much sense
What a crazy price point thats seems suicide.
You know ya got the MIGHTY MPCS to contend with.
Tracks within the Beat Thang are able to record more then one pad and sound. You can even make a whole beat using the first track.
I have questions. How many elements can you use per track. Example I use 8 bars on fl studio in one track I use electric guitar/ bass/strings/ piano/ scratch effect that's about 5 elements in one track can I do the same on beat thang. How many instruments or samples per track can I use?
Make sure you check back regularly on the beat thang site, and subscribe to our YouTube channel, as we will have audio content that will demo the audio on the hardware. beatthang. com
Im definately, interested, I watched most of the tutorials, but i haven't heard anything about sound quality. In the videos the sound is low. How does Beat thang, sound in comparison to a mpc, or anything else thats out..
The hardware currently does not have the ability to sample while playing. There will be an update that will add audio tracks to the sequencer.
can you sample while a pattern is playing? Like record a vocal line on beat over a pattern, but only hear the vocal input being sampled?
We will have accessories available for the hardware unit, but there is not a set date for this.
Are you still able to change the "grill" on the front? I liked this thang better when it was vaporware.
I could buy this or I could get NI maschine & komplete 7 and a Korg ESX1 and still have cash for a few beers :)
$1500 is a lot, but we think w/all you're getting its a great value. Not only do you get portable sequencer, sampler, drum machine & companion software product (best of both worlds) & built in effects rack & mixer, but it includes an INCREDIBLE library of thousands of original drums, basses, strings, synths, effects...everything you need to make great music right out of the box! So often the stock sounds miss the mark so we give you sounds that real pros are using on records right now
Ya'll will prob sell more of these things with a street price of $800. I can't see myself putting out $1500 for a low budget MPC.
Any introduction video for this Thang should start by explaining how this is possibly worth $1500! I'm not sure who you plan to reach at BestBuy, but anyone remotely savey could buy 5 Electribes on Craigslist for your street price.
