- Our PC is always on! :) BTW: Even hardware needs to boot up these days.
hmm a special groove machine midi controller? That would be cool, but then you'll always have to bootup your pc before you can jam..
- While not necessary, in concept you are meant to Groove Machine with a controller.
@imageline , but in the end, i heard great things coming frome groove machine. for sure: i will never use it.. principial against it. But some of the demo songs on your site are great.. proficitiat. Maybe this is also a good plugin to get people warm for the hardware, but now they got a great change to see what'a groovebox does and how it works. About sound: not the best of the best but not bad. But to have a groovebox on your screen? thats more like playing guitar on an I-pad;)
Hmm,, in that case.. you're right. but even the mc 909 is not that expensive. I own the mc 307 and mc 303: 125 euros each.. And software can never beat them.. for example.. take the kicks from the 303 and record it on tape. Can your software create the same deep and full sound? Hmmm..
- There's nothing 'cheap' about hardware with the capabilities of something like Groove Machine, you would be looking at $1500 to $2000 retail.
This is for me the deepest and saddest point in the Vst-industry. It almost made me cry:P.... Why a groovebox as a plugin? The reason of using a real groovebox is that you don't have to turn on the pc.. The Pro's of DAW's are the technically great options for finetuning.. what made the music so unhuman made last years with all that thousand dollars of vsti's.
Let the groovebox the groovebox.. and why not go cheap and buy a real groovebox, instead of hooking up an expensive middicontrollers?
is there an option to include the samples with the presets?
- Yes you can save Synth and Sampler presets.
can it also save the samples with the presets/programs?
ah, cool, it looked like the filters are only per sample slot, not per layers. great!
- Groove Machine reads WAV and AIF files. You can do what you like with them in an external editor and just drop them on a sampler channel. There are 9 independent controls per-layer - Mix & Pitch, Envelope (AHD), Lowpass and Highpass filters.
yes, but if i layer lets say 4 drumsamples in a sample slot, i d like to apply for example a highpass on one sound, a low pass on another. geist can do that. it would be less important if groove machine cant if it was able to do resampling or sending files to an external sample editor i think
- It is a multi-output plugin. You can treat the 8 sampler and 5 synth channels externally IN ADDITION to the 10 independent FX per channel. Download the demo and try it out.
will it be able to do resampling? cause otherwise being not able to set filters for each layered sound is more a limitation. fx pansion geist can do resampling and has more effects + much more routing (for example effects per layer + effects per sample pad), but its more a drum thing and not good in playing instruments
That CRSH setting is beautiful.
- The instructions are on the link associated with the video. It's just a standard VST install. Check the manual.
can you plz make a video on how to install it i followed the steps and it didnt work plz help
How much would this be in US dollars?
Y U NO MAKE THIS A STANDALONE HARDWARE?
2:51 sounds like a good song that could be made
I want this. Also at 1:23 I love the drum sample effect!
You just made my day :) Lol.
- Why not ask in the Looptalk thread dedicated to beta-testing?
Why can't i load the drums ?
i have it, and it is AWESOME! ∞∞∞∞∞
ill be damn if imageline make this one as an analog not an vsti
Hey everybody.. i am a unsigned ToronTo arTisT who had just released an amazing track with a touch of Raquel J all made on FL Studio of course.. i would really appreciate it if anyone were to check it out.. THANK YOU!! watch?v=5JhW8d9__tE
they dont have wav support i think,..so what u say is not right
- Yes you can use it just like any VST plugin synth,
Is this also suitable for studio use? Can all of its parameters be automated by a DAW?
Make tons of awesome sounding presets, loops and patterns, and I would definitely nab this instead of Rob Papen's Punch for my drum synth!!! It's more than just a drum synth as well!!!
@imageline Please tell me they're currently developing a hardware version of this! I'd spend big bucks on one
The interface reminds me of my old EMX1.
Will this be getting custom hardware like NI maschine?
A sequencer in a sequencer can actually increase your workflow I think...
So for us this gives us a small feeling of: "hey my baby brother gets more attention".
But if a sequencer works for the vst it's good, simple as that...
Ah, I thought this was a hardware piece for just a second.
You can use FL for mastering, playing on VST synths, automating effects, add some audio clips that wouldn't fit the GM and a lots of other things that i cannot comprehend right now. GM is very good for live performances. BUT if you wanna make some complex work, you will use the DAW as before.
Maybe this would be better for the iPad instead of FL Mobile? Scott - do you have any plans to port this over to the iPad2?
It'd be so awesome if there was a dedicated controller to operate this with like maschine and what not, in before emx/esx/random groove box recommendation.
You can always use FL in many ways to make up infinite grooves with limitless possibilities, but if you are like a lot of people, you don't have all day to mess around setting up every plugin and adjusting settings and routing mixers and setting up effects. What this does is helps you come up with ideas even faster. Maybe you'll use it right out of the groove machine, maybe not. Maybe you'll just play with it until you find an idea you like, then re-make it in FL..
+1 x100 IL!
how much will it cost? you should make a hardware replica the MIDI way. Without it, it will never be perfect for use, specially with keyboards. So, please get in touch with some MIDI manufacturer!
Yes, live perf. I have been waiting for this for some time.
OMG, wow! Best drum machine VST I've ever seen! I thought Spark would be the best nowadays and now this! :O
