Dubstep Grime Generator

SONiVOX Unveils Wobble, the first virtual instrument dedicated to Dubstep production 23-Sep-11

SONiVOX have previewed the newest instrument from their NEMESYNTH Audio Research Group, Wobble – Dubstep Grime Generator.

A PR person told Sonic State, "Wobble premiers the next generation of the spectral synthesis engine that powers SONiVOX's Twist and Vocalizer, offering up a whole new control paradigm designed to deliver time/pattern-sequencer control over modulation parameters. This results in unmatched control and flexibility in creating new, unique, and evolving sounds, perfect for dubstep as well as most other electronic music creation."

Wobble features:

  • New Spectral Synthesis Engine creates traditional or blazing new dubstep sounds
  • First of its kind Tempo-Synced Modulation Generator/Sequencer
  • Over 200 fat & juicy dubstep presets that can be easily tweaked into thousands
  • New interface design for seriously fast and easy sound designing
  • Fully automatable via hardware or software control
  • SONiVOX's Intelligent Rhythm Control (I.R.C) putting your performance in perfect time in realtime
  • Onboard chorus, tempo sync delay, and reverb fx
  • PC Standalone, VST and RTAS Compatibility
  • MAC Standalone, AU, VST, and RTAS Compatibility

SONiVOX say that Wobble marks the third release from their NEMESYNTH Audio Research Group. Spearheaded by noted audio guru and scientist Jim Van Buskirk, pioneer inventor of the virtual instrument, modern computer driven sampling, and real-time low-latency convolution, SONiVOX's NEMESYNTH Audio Research Group's sole purpose is to discover, research, & develop revolutionary new enabling technologies for musicians everywhere.

Wobble – Dubstep Grime Generator is MAC & PC compatible and will work with most major DAW software as a VST, AU, and RTAS plugin.

Pricing and Availability:
Wobble – Dubstep Grime Generator is slated for a release date of October 1st 2011 with a MSRP of $149.99 and an estimated street price of $99.99

You need software such as Fruity Loops or Abelton. You have to make the beats with other programs this is just a wobble.

slightoflights 18-Mar-12 04:02 AM

VSTs cant be run standalone, AU can thats why most people use Mac to make music as its standalone and core audio make very effective

slightoflights 18-Mar-12 03:59 AM

Good for creating Bass and unique sounds only thing is if ur new its maybe better to start off with one shots of Bass and FX's

slightoflights 18-Mar-12 03:57 AM

Key Mapping dude!

Bengji1814 16-Mar-12 07:20 AM

I agree. I sent an email regarding the problems I was having and I got no response. Waste of money.

Van292 12-Mar-12 10:31 PM

is there a demo version i can download before i buy?

KnockSquared 04-Mar-12 05:49 AM

I don't like it....I dont use it. Waste of $99. But thats just ME....

selfinflict3 04-Mar-12 05:28 AM

yo homie, lol, the funny thing is i was thinking about buying this too, but then i was thinking what if it isnt as good as the synths ive been making in reason, or razor in maschine wobbleing with an lfo... what do u think of this wobble plug-in knock???

KwipperTheBear 01-Mar-12 04:47 PM

It's a VST plugin. Of course it does!

AceCreator66 20-Feb-12 01:43 AM

i desperately need help. i cannot figure out how to load wobble into my daw program. ive been trying to load it into fruity loops studio but i just cant get it to work. On the box that wobble came in it says you can use wobble as a standalone program and ive read online that you can as well. i just dont know how!! please help.

KnockSquared 18-Feb-12 07:47 PM

I agree... cause I am a old azz "Wobble" noob..LOL... I have learned though.

KnockSquared 18-Feb-12 07:45 PM

you know what...you are right. I was lazy and bought this. I should have just made the sounds myself by studying. I had massive all along PLUS FM8 and have since learned to do it myself. I feel more satisfaction knowing that I did it...not to mention that this WOBBLE program was a pain in the butt (I still give the company credit for taking care of me after I got a scratched disc from GC.

HImyNAMEisRJlol 18-Feb-12 04:43 PM

its a vst that goes into a daw

F3AR73S 05-Feb-12 06:27 PM

Does it work with fl?

selfinflict3 31-Jan-12 11:55 PM

wow. cant you make any synth wobble with a lfo, or even by wobblin the filter freq knob by hand, shits getting mad lazy these days, i swear there is a plug-in for everything.

ohio7764 28-Jan-12 10:44 PM

how do you get a track to play? Ive played around with it and its so confusing..

SEIZETHEDAYSCREAMS 17-Jan-12 09:38 PM

could i use my numark mixdeck as a midi controller?

djlovemachine 15-Jan-12 08:33 AM

its so funny to read all this comments from 15 years old noobs that dont even know what a lfo is complaining about the fact that there is no knob on the software that makes this naive little freaks a new skrilex with one click.... learn , practice , work ...this is the only way noobs!!!

nodeblack 14-Jan-12 02:07 AM

@SONiVOXmi Is it possible for you to create a video that demonstrates how you made the track from the Wobble trailer (Demo 1 from the website)? Was the entire track composed in Wobble or were there added elements from a DAW or other device? Thank you for your help.

nodeblack 14-Jan-12 02:04 AM

I feel the same way. I purchased the software and expected a bit more ease of use as well. The pattern generator really doesn't make sense to me at all. I'm not an expert with my DAW, but even in standalone mode I can't make a pattern with Wobble. Maybe we should ask support for some assistance? o_O

KnockSquared 11-Jan-12 05:26 PM

I regret buying it. Its not easy to use in any shape or form...at least for me. I used it and quickly got bored with it...because I couldnt get a decent bass (not even talking about a wobble) but then again... that just may be me.. I am no software genius...but the whole purpose of me getting Wobble was I was looking for ease of use.

Chiefenstein 10-Jan-12 01:59 AM

Would this work with my Axiom Pro 49 midi controller?

jflrsvt 09-Jan-12 10:38 PM

i can't even play mine live. i have a mac. how do i get it to play??

DubSantaSoundSUB 08-Jan-12 11:34 PM

yes it does. go to all the channels. go to the tab that says more, then refresh should be on the bottom of that list. hit that and wobble should show up in the right column of the channels preview. you must have wobble downloaded first.

swissbeats23 08-Jan-12 01:31 AM

i have to say these programs look easy to use and sound great. sad that NI VSTI cant make programs that are to the point and have a easy interface. i think ima not buy Komplete 9 i think is the lastest one but instead buy all of these VSTI. do you know where to get a all in one package deal???

ducks777ruh 04-Jan-12 08:42 AM

DOES IT WORK WITH FL STUDIO

nicholasmoreno 30-Dec-11 04:05 AM

i got the program but for some reason i can make it fit the screen its getting cut off and i cant do anything about it ughhh HELP!!

nodeblack 28-Dec-11 10:23 PM

I was surprised by the lightness of the box too! I contacted the retailer and asked if they sold me a demo box because I didn't want to open it and have them think I stole the media if I returned it. They said it was a download code inside only. I was like damn. I want physical media!

nodeblack 28-Dec-11 09:33 PM

Nice! What do you think of Wobble?

SEIZETHEDAYSCREAMS 28-Dec-11 07:50 AM

can i please have more inffo how to use this i have a numark mixdeck and dont know how to use this

THATSHADYFOOL 26-Dec-11 02:54 AM

Wow what the he'll did I buy no ratings allowed ok that makes sense . Not I just threw money in the wind . This is the only thing I could find on this and it was no help wtf

sasekt3 25-Dec-11 09:33 PM

I got this today, and yes you need a MIDI controller to play the patterns, you just hold down a note on the keyboard and it plays the pattern. This does not work with the mouse as it will just play a single note. Hope this makes sense kind of hard to explain

coryschiefer 25-Dec-11 09:16 PM

do you need a MIDI controller for this program? and if not once you make a a pattern how do you play it?

KelleighTV 25-Dec-11 01:54 AM

I just got this, i have no idea how to work it. How do i record? How do i make bass beats? How do i play what i have made? PLEASE HELP!!!

Fendgib83 19-Dec-11 02:32 AM

Can i make a complete dubstep song with just this software and do i need plug ins

DJMOBProductions 18-Dec-11 11:26 PM

how do I authorize this without having internet on my laptop Ive called your support line 3 times already and nobody answered it just kept ringing

Hectorrevenue 13-Dec-11 10:05 AM

Well, took it home and all is OK- there are a few disparities with the volumes on some of the presets, but it is pretty fun. 7 out of 10.

Hectorrevenue 12-Dec-11 01:42 PM

Right, I have bitten the bullet and bought a copy, which is a bit of a punt considering the lack of reviews by people who have actually used it, the general negative reaction I am picking up and on picking up my copy, the lightness of the box. I have got to say, I am preparing myself for dissapointment. Will let you know how I get on.

OfficialDJPulse 06-Dec-11 07:26 AM

Would this program work with an Oxygen(brand name) MIDI keyboard?

F3AR73S 27-Nov-11 04:22 AM

can i use this with fl studio?

TheLonewolfk11 10-Nov-11 06:53 PM

Sadaddy90 03-Nov-11 01:59 AM

tried getting in contact with CS. no one picked up

please help, it looks cool on youtube. but it suckswhen no tutorials

Sadaddy90 29-Oct-11 03:41 PM

i just bought this yesterday i have no clue how to use it...please help

KnockSquared 22-Oct-11 04:03 AM

whats up Bro !!! GET THAT MASCHINE !!! lol. RS is dope though.

CHANNELDEREK 22-Oct-11 02:11 AM

Looks pretty cool.. This save alot of time automating lfo rate, depth, filter depth filter rate. But it can be done..

Dubstep mainstream : )

BTW hello uncle knock. Almost picked up maschine today, but my old RS7000 is still going strong. : )

KnockSquared 17-Oct-11 03:23 PM

Ok I know I have been clowning Sonivox a little bit....but I went and bought Wobble anyway..LOL. Off the bat I had problems with the disc... but Sonivox support took care of me with excellent Customer service,so thats extra points for the company. I am up and running. Looking forward to hearing how it sounds.

KnockSquared 14-Oct-11 08:36 PM

LOL..everyone needs to thank me . I made a comment about sonivox needing to answer questions here (which they deleted..lol) and suddenly... ANSWERS ARE HERE !!! I love it. Sometimes you have to kick a company in the virtual butt to get them to respond. Well this one will be gone soon too... but at least they answered.

SONiVOXmi 14-Oct-11 02:04 PM

if you aren't using some kind of MIDI controller/keybord to control Wobble you can just draw an extended note in your daw.

SONiVOXmi 14-Oct-11 02:00 PM

It installs like any other virtual instrument, if Live isn't seeing it, it is likely that Wobble is installed into a directory that Live isn't looking for plugins in. If you need help sorting this out please feel free to contact SONiVOX support directly and they will be happy to help.
