Noel Gallagher Would Collaborate With U2 Or Coldplay

Noel Gallagher seems to be in the news almost every single day at the moment, and it's probably not a coincidence that this comes at the same time as his debut solo album release.

The guitarist recently spoke of his disapointment of Manchester United players not turning up to his gig, and has also ruled out the reformation of Oasis.

Now the ex-Oasis man is suggesting that he would be happy to collaborate with U2 or Coldplay. He told the Sunday Mirror:

“I’ve never been asked to do a collaboration. I guess I just don’t give off that come-and-get-me vibe. I wouldn’t be adverse to doing one with Coldplay or U2 – anyone who sells 50-million albums.”

It's hard to tell whether Noel is picking out Coldplay or U2 in particular, or whether he'd just like to collaborate with artists who have sold millions of records, but we don't really mind either way!

Noel also expressed his disgust for iPhones, saying:

“I just want a basic 1994 Nokia mobile. I can keep it in my back pocket and just do the basics with it – phone and text. What would I need a camera on it for? iPhones are for Cockneys... and they are far too big.”

Coldplay have not only sold millions of records, but also performed to over 50-million people in their live streamed Youtube gig last week. Speaking about performing in Madrid, Chris Martin said:

"We decided we'd like to do a concert which we'd broadcast on YouTube live around the world and just looked for some of the most beautiful buildings we could find and this is what we came up with, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world."
