Roland Corporation U.S. tells us that they are proud to be the sole musical instrument sponsor of the Most Powerful Voices inspiring music contest, presented by gmc television network (formerly Gospel Music Channel) and the American Heart Association's Power to End Stroke Campaign.
The winner will have the chance to perform live at the 2012 Power Awards in New York City, and will be featured on gmc, America's favorite channel for uplifting entertainment. In addition, Roland will supply $5,000 worth of new keyboard and recording gear to the grand prize winner and an R-05 WAVE/MP3 Recorder to the 10 finalists.
CONTEST FORMAT

Round One – Open Registration for Contestants and Fan Voting Begins:
November 11, 2011 – Jan 27, 2012
Artists, groups, and choirs register. Provide the link for your performance video or upload an MP3 audio file of your original song or one from the approved song list. Gospel, Praise, Worship, and Holy Hip Hop are all accepted. Complete the profile, provide a photo, and, if applicable, tell us a story how Stroke has affected your life or family. Spread the word to everyone to come to the website to vote for you often. The more votes and higher ratings you get, the higher you'll be ranked. Fans must register to vote. The top 40 contestants move on to round two.
Round Two – Top 40 Voting:
January 30 – February 24, 2012
Voting resets to zero. Fans vote on the top 40 to decide who will advance to the next round. So keep getting the word out to VOTE. New fans may continue to register and vote. The top 10 contestants move to the next round.
Final Round – Top 10 Judging:
February 27 – March 5, 2012
Voting resets to zero. Judges from the music industry review the 10 finalists and select the winner. All finalists receive prizes. Grand Prize Winner and Fan Winner announced March 9, 2012. Winner performs at 2012 Power Awards May 4, 2012.
