Tried out one of these desolations and not bad at all almost on par with my RR24 and I love the 3pc raw maple neck thru
jacksons are mostly made in japan, those are made in china.
Now I want this guitar... Knowing Charvel and Jacksons are made in same factory I wouldn't have to worry about the quality of the guitar! It would work perfectly with my RR24
I highly recommend Charvel!

It´s sad they´re making such beautiful guitars in China , i mean , Korea and Indonesia are way better for imports the quality just can´t compare to chinese made guitars ... I´ve always loved the Star , let´s see if there will be a pro mod ( japanese made ) for it in the future , or even a Korean made one ...

I have the Roope Latvala ESP RS-II model,1 of 2 let into the states. I have to say it is the best feeling/sounding guitar I have played! No way that thing is overpriced. Gibson Les Paul Customs are overpriced. No model from all the brands of guitars I've owned in ten years of playing has felt, played or sounded like a high end ESP. I highly recommend ESP over a post-80's Charvel!
OK, selling my LTD Gus-200 and im saving up for this one! Looks and sounds badass!!
That shape is awesome! Roope Latvala from Children Of Bodom but it is ESP and totally overpriced. I might consider buying this if I get a job someday..

These are made in Japan,and the quality is exceptional bro.I have a SoCal, and am waiting for the Desolation DS1 to arrive in the mail because of how well done my Socal is.It isn't a matter of money,I could buy a top line LP, but these things play so damn well; and really are a great buy. Give one a try.
Yeah, the random star is back - great to see But FAIL that the input jack is in the lower part...the upper should have been way better if you play the axe on your left leg...sigh.

Guys,you really shouldn't judge a guitar by it's manufactured country,for instance every Indonesia made X series Ibanez kick RG Prestiges ass,why??because they have better pickups and mahogany body instead of the basswood ones found on cheap guitars,good wood and pickups makes good sound,not because thier made in Japan or the US,Also a good example,Edwards they're considered to be a mid-high end guitar, but they are in fact made in China but constructed in Japan

so what? ive played the entire desolation series and they are awesome! its like playing a custom jackson guitar due to the fretboard radius and they have high quality hardware. in fact ive already ordered one since im impressed with them

Neat guitar... I think it's kinda cool that this Charvel has the classic/trademark Jackson-styled headstock. I was lookin' thru a Jackson/Charvel catalog from 1990 and man those axes must have been sweet to play. Back then you probably didn't have 2 rob a bank to get a top-notch USA model either.

those particular charvels don't come with passive pickups you ape.
sounds like every other axe with EMG pickups, compressed and harsh..Demo a guitar with passives for once.
