sE Electronics have just introduced an update to their sE22000 series, with the introduction of the sE2200a MKII. The sE2200 series are one of the most affordable condenser mics available and as a result has been bestowed with several industry awards since its introduction in 2000. Its also been favoured by a number of great artists - many vocals from the Amy Winehouse classic Back to Black were recorded with the sE2200a.

The sE Electronics sE2200a MKII sees a multi-pattern (back to back) capsule introduced with Cardioid, Figure of 8 and Omni modes. It also gets a cosmetic make-over with the new rubberized black finish, which helps damp chassis resonance.

With final details to be announced at NAMM (Jan 19th-21st 2012), there’s also a competition to win an sE2200a MKII of your very own.
All you need to do is to ad sE Electronics to your Google + circles and a winner will be picked at random.

On release, the sE2200a MKII will ship with a free shock mount and metal pop shield.
Stay tuned for more information.
