Cool. I'm very interested in it. In my experience, every pro musician & creative loves iPads/Apple. ps. my studio has the Synthstation, MPC2000, 3200xl, S1000, X7000 etc. and I've been to their HQ when it was in Shin-Yokohama, Japan. Cool guys with good electro sense :)

No offence but the guy is right. This thing needs midi and jack/xlr in and out imo because on its own your can sync it with anything? A massive shortcoming in my view otherwise I like the laptop design.
But couldn't you either do graphical settings based on screen size or simply apply size stretching? It may distort the image slightly, but it would certainly open the doors.
cause Akai knows their target market. MPC's and MPD's are mainly used in hip hop. Just the way things are for now.

Unfortunately, there is no standard size for Android tablets. Their dimensions are all over the map depending on which manufacturer's tablet you're considering supporting.

You can connect a midi controller to this and you can use this with the Korg iMS-20 app which is awesome and you can than share your music with your PC when you get home and fine tune your sounds on a more dedicated machine. This is a more mobile product than anything your going to use with a heavier notebook.
BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK AS COOL! Seriously, that's all most people care about now is how flashy something looks. I'm happy with a 2000xl, mpd16 or sp-606 anyday. No flashy lights but reliable, cheaper and functional!
