Jack White's Machine Gun Silhouette Taken Offline

Jack White has unveiled a new song online; 'Machine Gun Silhouette' will be the B-side to his first debut single 'Love Interruption'.

The multi-instrumentalist is due to release his new album, Blunderbuss, on Third Man/XL recordings on April 23rd. It will be his first solo album, but Blunderbuss will feature guest appearances from other musicians.

The first two releases from the album have so far given off The White Stripes' vibe of stripped back production and simple, yet effective, melodic phrasing.

Jack White, who produced the album himself, usually commits to tape when recording, and this gives the sound an authentic injection of southern blues - it really could have been recorded 50 years ago at Muscle Shoals (on downtime of course).

White had this to say:

"'Blunderbuss' is an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name.

"These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas." (Quote courtesy of Ultimate Guitar).

Leaked versions of the song are disappearing fast from streaming sites, with Third Man/XL seemingly keen to keep the song underwraps until release.
