Audiokinetic Inc. and iZotope, Inc. have announced a partnership for Audiokinetic to distribute iZotope effects adapted for Audiokinetic's Wwise product. Starting with version 2012.1 of Wwise available in March 2012, this release will include a modeled reverb combining convolution and algorithmic reverberation technologies, and six effects from the Trash plug-in: box modeler, delay, distortion, dynamics, filters and a multiband distortion.
Jacques Deveau, VP of Sales and Business Development at Audiokinetic, told Sonic State, "Since the beginning of Audiokinetic, we wanted to develop an ecosystem around Wwise which would allow plug-in developers to integrate their tools. With the addition of iZotope, this partnership confirms Audiokinetic's commitment to offer Wwise users the best 3rd party effects for their games."
Alex Westner, iZotope's Director of Business Development, added, "By partnering with a leading middleware developer like Audiokinetic, we're excited to provide real-time sound design tools and plug-ins to a wider range of game audio professionals. With our flagship technologies available directly in Wwise, the gaming community can benefit from the same high-quality sound that audio pros have trusted for years."
