Notion Music, creators of Progression and NOTION software and their accompanying iPad apps, have announced their search for up-and-coming musicians and composers to appear in their You Are Next international promotional campaign. A spokesperson had this to say, "Calling all musicians everywhere, this promotion will expose forward-thinking artists of all ages to the world!"
Here's all the details directly from Notion Music... Progression and NOTION are leading Mac/PC software and iPad apps that have reshaped the way musicians can create music. Progression is a guitar tab editor that gives users the ability to write, edit, and playback guitar tablature or regular notation using real audio samples. NOTION is a standard notation editor that allows users to compose, edit, and playback scores with audio samples performed by The London Symphony Orchestra. New in version 1.1 of the NOTION iPad app, songwriters can also write songs using NOTION and include lyrics, chord symbols, and more.
Submission to the "You Are Next" search is open to all singers, songwriters, composers, guitarists, instrumentalists, ensembles, and bands of all genres. Entrants should provide details about their background and original music compositions and arrangements, as well as links to music recordings or videos. The entry form can be found here.
If selected to participate in the promotional campaign, artists may receive extensive exposure, which could include live appearances and special events, featured in advertising, social media, website features, and much more. Plus free software!
All musicians are encouraged to apply. The use of Progression or NOTION is not required to submit an application. Entrants will be notified with details of the next steps if they are selected.
