Adds a tuner and GuitarJack Model 2 controls 23-Mar-12
Sonoma Wire Works has added a
free, high-visibility tuner and the GuitarJack Model 2 control panel
to the Taylor EQ iOS app: an input EQ for enhancing the sound of a
Taylor guitar when played through GuitarJack on an iOS device. Players
can select from a range of EQ presets that complement Taylor's
signature guitar body shapes, including the Grand Auditorium, Grand
Symphony, Grand Concert, Dreadnought, T5, or the new GS Mini. Each EQ
preset was custom designed by Taylor Guitars' engineers to optimize
the tone of each body shape for use with the GuitarJack. Players can
also create a custom tone for any guitar by using the six-band
parametric equalizer in Advanced EQ mode, and play along to their
favorite songs by launching Taylor EQ while the iPod app is playing. Here's the fullstory in Sonoma's own words...
While the Taylor EQ app will work with most iOS guitar adapters and
any acoustic guitar, it is optimized for use with the GuitarJack and
Taylor guitars equipped with the company's Expression System for
the highest quality sound. Taylor EQ is a free app that includes the
GuitarJack control panel, which allows users to configure the
GuitarJack settings and levels, then quit to launch a third party app.
GuitarJack will retain the current settings and levels even when the
iOS device goes to sleep or the GuitarJack is disconnected. Most
Taylor EQ features are also included in FourTrack to enhance
recordings of Taylor guitars or any acoustic guitar.
Taylor EQ's GuitarJack Control Panel now allows users to adjust the
input settings and modes for both GuitarJack Model 1 and Model 2.
GuitarJack is a high quality interface that connects a wide range of
instruments, microphones, and other audio hardware to the iPhone, iPad
and iPod touch. Select 1/4-inch line in, stereo 1/8-inch line in, or
use both inputs for simultaneous voice and instrument recording onto
two tracks at once when used with an app that supports those features.
GuitarJack's 1/8-inch stereo line/headphone output offers increased
drive for headphones. GuitarJack features Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes, 60 dB
of continuous level control, a 12 dB pad for 72 dB of adjustment, a
24-bit AD/DA converter, and high quality sound. GuitarJack is
available from Sonoma Wire Works, Taylor Guitars, and select dealers
worldwide. Pricing and Availability:
