Sonic Charge has released Echobode, a Rack Extension for Reason. It's a frequency shifter combined with a delay. Sonic Charge had this to say... The difference between a frequency shifter and a pitch shifter is that it shifts the audio spectrum linearly - an overtone series of 100, 200, 300 Hz can be shifted by 50 Hz to 150, 250, 350 Hz, making the overtones inharmonic. This effect in itself is great for creating metallic bell timbres, but putting it inside a delayed feedback loop opens up many other possibilities. The frequency shifter algorithm is inspired by the classic Bode device, it has excellent sideband separation and a unique technology to eliminate "reflections", i.e. frequencies that are shifted outside of the spectrum. The delay uses high quality all-pass interpolation and a built-in LFO can be used to modulate the effect. Echobode is capable of creating many different effects from pure frequency shifting and echoes to phasers, flangers, choruses and more. Pricing and Availability:
$25 / €19 : introductory offer until October 31st.
The normal price for Echobode is $39 / €32
