I thought the 106 was a High/Low-pass filter affair? And this needs an envolope. Other-wise this seems like a cool bit of kit.

Those controls dont look the most solid in the world. They are bending all over the place during the demo!

It's pretty good, but I'd hope for the HPF. It doesn't really need an envelope if it can take external CV (which is cool!) but I do have to agree with Santa Guvnor about the concerns over build quality. Also... the Junos are great because they have stereo outputs. Wouldn't it be great to not have to run your synth in mono just to use this device? I'd rather pay more money to have those issues addressed.

Roland's still using the Juno brand, so this seems like it'll set off their legal team?

Sounds great. Looks like the pots are quite loose. Is that because they are digital? Seen that behaviour before on digitizing pots.

Jeez, looks

@Peter K. Juno's (and 90% of the synths) are mono output until they reach the Chorus Effect which make the sound stereo. Bypass the Chorus and you will have exactly the same sound on both output.

@Waveform TX. The hi-pass filter on a Juno is non-resonant. It is more an EQ curve that remove bottom end. I find it better to have a CV in than an enveloppe. You can send a complex CV message (step sequence, S&H, lfos) in a modular setup.

I couldn't care less about the wobbly knobs. But the power switch is more than misplaced.

Well done mode machines. You seem to know what people want, cheap good gear. The knobs need tightening but having had a 106 for many years, that sounds very good.Give us more demos of your racked xoxbox
