Avid has qualified the Magma ExpressBox 3T (EB3T) and ExpressBox 7 (EB7) with Pro Tools 10.3.3 and higher. Any number of Pro Tools|HDX cards can be installed into either newly approved Magma expansion chassis. Magma says that ExpressBox 3T provides the desired upgrade path to new Thunderbolt equipped Macs without sacrificing access to Pro Tools DSP power. They tell us that with ExpressBox 7 you can continue using your Mac Pro with confidence that your Pro Tools configuration is officially supported by Avid.

I always check out this website before buying music software - www.producesound.com - My personal favourite is ableton live 8 because it's easy to use whilst also being able to do some very complex editing tasks.

Avid really didn't have a choice in approving the product because it essentially is just an extension of the desktop, it works, and no serious coding necessary. Plus there's high demand and money always helps
