Podcast: Sonic TALK 305 - Tracktion Developers

No live  podcast this week, as I'm away from the office, but we do have a chat with two of the guys behind the relaunch and rewriting of Tracktion one of the first, if not the first modeless DAW.

Formerly owned and run by Mackie, Tracktion has enjoyed a loyal userbase, even though its not been developed or updated for some time. Thats all changing now though with development back on course.

Julian Storer and James 'Woody' Woodburn from Tracktion join me for a chat about the lease of life Tracktion is getting and plans for the future.

Great piece Nick ! I would not have minded if it would have lasted longer even, some more philosophizing about the DAW on Linux and chucking out all the fluff ;)

As far as Linux DAWs go, there's always: http://ardour.org/

(runs on Linux and OS X)

That said, I'm really happy to see Tracktion back, and can't wait for it to stabilize.
