Platinum Samples and John Emrich have announced the release of their Real Blues Multi-Format MIDI Groove Library. Here's what they have to say about it...

The Blues are the bedrock of modern Rock 'n Roll and R&B music. Artists like Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, Pinetop Perkins, Muddy Waters and B. B. King paved the road for popular music as we know it today.

Real Blues features 65 full songs inspired by these great artists and includes all 65 songs in sections like: Intro, Verse, Chorus, Solo and Ending as well as including free-time Ending Fermatas.  For ease of use, all songs are also included separated into two bar grooves.

Covering the Delta Blues, Boogie Woogie, Chicago Blues, Early R&B, Jump Blues, Soul Blues, Swamp Blues and Texas Blues – Real Blues also includes 8 songs played with brushes providing a total of 4,553 MIDI files (15,244 bars).

Real Blues is the most comprehensive blues drum groove collection and is a must-have for any singer/songwriter to inspire you with your next song.

This multi-format collection includes grooves formatted for BFD2, BFD Eco, EZDrummer, Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums, Steven Slate Drums 4, Cakewalk Session Drummer as well as General MIDI Standard MIDI Files which can be used with any GM compatible drum software or hardware --- this includes drum machines and synthesizers which have drum sounds.

Real Blues was performed by John Emrich on a Yamaha DTX900 electronic drum set and Optimized for 1 Kick, 1 Snare, 3 Toms, 1 Hihat, 2 Crash cymbals and 1 Ride cymbal.
