Larrivée Guitars introduce the -03 Vintage Series   19-Apr-13

Larrivée Guitars and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd are introducing the -03 "Vintage" Series.  They tell us that, expressly built for revisiting the 1940s and 1950s these new all-solid mahogany guitars includes exquisite appointments and a stunning all-body vintage sunburst.

Based on the popular -03 Series, the Vintage models also feature solid mahogany back and sides but distinguish themselves with a highly resonant mahogany top rather than the standard spruce, and a stunning best-grade true vintage process all-body sunburst. Sound Technology says that the satin finish gloriously highlights the quality of the woods and allows the guitar's tone to sing. 

Other enhancements include Vintage Tulip style tuning machines, Vintage multi-strip rosette, multi-strip top-bind purling and large fretboard dots.

As with all -03 models the guitar feature a one piece neck and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint.  They are all built in Larrivée's Canadian factory and come with a Larrivée archtop hardshell case included.

-03 Vintage will ship in the UK initially with a choice of three body shapes and with an onboard-pickup included - the D-03E Vintage dreadnought, OM-03E Vintage and OOO-03E Vintage.  All come equipped with the discrete but great-sounding Shadow NanoFlex pickup.
