Schertler Classic Amplifiers Get New Finishes

Swiss manufacturer Schertler has enhanced the appearance of its popular Classic amplifier series with the introduction of an optional wood finish for its DAVID model (previously available in grey only). The portable 2-channel amp offers 100W of bi-amplified power and has switchable inputs for accommodating practically any microphone or transducer. DAVID Classic can also be used with acoustic and electric guitars as well as line level sources such as CD players. Schertler tells us that, equipped with 3-band EQ on each channel and a spring reverb, the amplifier continues to prove a hugely popular choice for both live performance and recording applications. DAVID's new choice of finishes follows an earlier update to the larger 3-channel UNICO Classic that is now also available in both grey and wood.

Schertler is also now shipping its latest Classic series model, GIULIA, following a Frankfurt Musikmesse debut that saw the compact 50W single-channel amp put though its paces at the show (along with other Schertler products) by multi-instrumentalist Djamel Laroussi (Steve Wonder) and violin virtuoso Neyveli S. Radhakrishna (Ravi Shankar). They say that GIULIA features the same high quality sound, intuitive control surface and robust construction as its larger Classic series siblings and is ideal for small venues, home studios and for practice. Currently available with a wood finish, GIULIA will also be offered in grey. For easy transportation, a new range of specially designed multi-coloured GIULIA carrying bags has just been launched.
