William Orbit, the influential Ambient dance & pop pioneer producer responsible for Madonna's seminal Ray Of Light and the massively successful Pieces In A Modern Style - electronic reworkings of classical pieces, which topped the classical charts in the UK for some time, has been working on a strange short film of late.
The film, titled Bad Bunny - and apparently based on a true story, though I'm struggling to think of what it could be.. any ideas?
But essentially, boy meets girl (bug meets crab), boy loses girl to evil genius, boy attempts to rescue girl, gets a good kicking, but prevails in the end after waking the sleeping dragon of revenge.
The result is, well, extremely wierd.
With music and direction and camera work (though not exclusively) by Mr Orbit, the soundtrack features some of those signature sounds William Orbits productions are famed for - Juno 106 and Novation Basstation if I recall correctly.
Its a 9 minute film featuring a micro world, revolving around small wind up toys and other such oddities.
William Orbit has been working on another album in his Strange Cargo series Strange Cargo 5 - expected to be released sometime soon.
