KRK Systems and CD Baby, the online distributor of independent music, are teaming up to give musicians a free single upload to CD Baby for each KRK ROKIT Generation 3 Studio Monitor (ROKIT G3) they purchase.
A spokesperson told us, "Just as KRK monitors let musicians take their mixes to the next level, now CD Baby can help them take their music to the world. Through CD Baby, musicians will be able to sell their recording on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Facebook, Rdio, on their own websites, and more."
Here's more details in KRK's own words...
This promotion celebrates the recent release of the highly anticipated ROKIT G3s, which are available in five-, six-, and eight-inch versions. This new line of two-way active monitors features multiple innovative upgrades that elevate KRK's already legendary performance. As with all KRK monitors, the ROKIT G3s feature a lightweight yellow composite woofer that achieves outstanding dynamics. Many monitor manufacturers compromise the midrange frequencies to hype the bass, but the KRK ROKIT G3's unique tuning process treats the woofer, cabinet, and port as a single, integrated whole, resulting in extreme vocal clarity with extended bass response. Additionally, an ingenious, re-designed radius cabinet baffle minimizes diffraction to provide highly accurate low-frequency reproduction.
The G3's reliable, analog, bi-amped, class A/B amplifier has also been enhanced to maximize headroom while retaining minimal distortion. Unlike monitors that distort at higher SPLs, KRK monitors are engineered to deliver clean, accurate sound at any volume level--the high frequencies are crisp, clean and devoid of harshness, which complements the precision midrange and accurate, yet highly satisfying, bass.
Each monitor in the ROKIT G3 line features an upgraded one-inch soft-dome tweeter that provides response up to 35 kHz, coupled with KRK's optimized, proprietary waveguide technology for superior stereo imaging.
Pricing and Availability:
The offer is good for ROKIT G3 purchases made from November 20 to December 31, 2013; customers must register for redemption by January 10, 2014 at www.cdbaby.com/KRK, and will receive one upload per product purchased. There is no limit to the number of redemptions (for example buying a pair of ROKIT G3s qualifies for two uploads, buying two pairs qualifies for four uploads, etc.).
