Soundiron has announced the release of Voice of Rapture: The Tenor, the next entry in their Voice of Rapture series of operatic solo vocal libraries. They say that, performed by professional tenor Brian Thorsett, The Tenor builds and improves upon everything they have learned since the inception of the "Voice of" series of solo vocal libraries and is their most powerful and versatile solo vocal library yet. Here's the full details in Soundiron's own words...

With The Tenor, we've pushed the bar even higher, with more legato variations, more sustaining vowels, more phrases, more staccatos and more powerful control features than ever before. This powerful 8.9GB, 11,168 sample collection of fully playable chromatic content and deeply expressive melodic phrases will give you more creative freedom, dramatic power and feature flexibility than any other solo vocal series in the world.

The Tenor was recorded in a close, dry studio environment with two selectable microphone types to capture every nuance of Brian's performance. We've captured 3 sets of long-form True Legato: Ah (smooth piano), Ah (strong Forte w/ vibrato) and Oo (gentle piano), each with infinite sustaining and natural release modes. The library includes a full selection of Ah, Ee, Eh, Oh and Oo vowel sustains in both piano and forte dynamics. There's also an mf dynamic for Ah and a special softly hummed "mm" sustain type. The library also features 25 staccato words and syllables and a dozen Latin lyrical sustaining full-range chromatic chants, both with tempo-syncing, time-stretching and synchronized legato.

On top of the deeply sampled chromatic content, there are also over 1300 unique melodic phrases that offer a wealth of dramatic performance material, specifically designed to add life to any track with complete ease and adaptability. There are 4 categories: Latin liturgical chants, classic French verses, pure vowels and soulful humming. Each collection includes sets in the keys of A#, C, D, E, F# and G# (with major and minor variants) recorded at 100 bpm. You'll also find a special selection of forte-fortissimo vowel phrases and more gentle 80bpm Latin phrases. And you can tempo-synch, time-stretch, transpose, sequence, splice and chop each phrase to fit your specific needs with total real-time control and our powerful phrase sequencer interface. There are also breaths, whispers, spoken word, vocal effects, ambiences, pads, and atmospheres to expand your palette.

Each preset has a multi-FX Rack with compression, EQ, amp/speaker sim, phaser, flanger, chorus, delay, distortion, filter and reverb, featuring dozens of our most popular authentic environmental rooms, halls, cathedrals and otherworldly fx impulses to place the singer wherever you need him in the mix. This standard open-format library includes unlocked full-fidelity 24bit/48kHz wav samples. It requires the full retail version of Kontakt 5.1 or later and doesn't support the Kontakt Player. The Tenor brings together superior programming, performance, quality and living, breathing soul into an unprecedented solo vocal solution that you will not find matched anywhere else.

Pricing and Availability:
Voice of Rapture: The Tenor is on sale for only $99 through December 13th, 2013. That's nearly 30% off the normal MSRP of $139.
