NAMM 2014: iZotope Break Tweaker Demo

Some interesting features for the beat freak      25/01/14

   QuickTime (MP4)  | iOS MP4

BT has collaborated with iZotope again on a new EDM creation tool. Beat Tweaker is the result. A pattern based beat sequencer and synthesizer/sample player with some pretty innovative features.

With a simpler level for laying down pattern based grooves - which includes a separate speed control for each of the five tracks - allowing isorythmic playback - I learnt a new word today.

The deeper levels allow for complex event based edits and manipulation.

We have a full story elsewhere on the site for the full details, in the mean time I'll let Matt Hines take over.

Bought it today and have not stopped playing it. Phenominal. So good at generating Glitchy beats it would normally take quite some time to generate. Microedit and layering so well designed. Only wish is for a simple 'export pattern as audio file' function.

Pricey indeed but really good.

I just installed the demo version. The synthesis capabilities are great. The samples are nice. This thing is a cpu hog though. I can barely run it as a plugin in Ableton on my Macbook Pro. Instantly 80% cpu usage. :(
