Over in Asheville NC, home of Moog, Moogfest 2014 is underway - it's a celebration of electronic music, electronic pioneers and of course instruments, with a packed schedule of live music, workshops and discussion panels from the great and the good from the world of electronica.
The organizers (Moog themselves) have done an amazing job of bringing together a great schedule for the 5 days it runs. Kraftwerk, the Pet Shop Boys, MIA, Nile Rodgers' Chic, Giorgio Moroder and Moderat are just some of the heavyweights they have enticed to play. Not to mention speakers like Tom Oberheim, Herb Deutsch, Roger Linn, Dave Smith, Keith Emerson and Bernie Worrell.
We've put together a selection of what happened over the last couple of days:
First up some footage from the Werkstatt Workshop posted by Peff.com. All those lucky folks building their own exclusive Moog Mono - makes you smile.
UPDATE - just spotted this Justin.TV live stream player - I dont know if there's anything scheduled, but keep an eye out.
