Novation Launch Control XL -More Control Innit?

We reviewed the Novation Launch Control and Launch Key Mini earlier in the year.

Today Novation launch a new member of thew Launch Control family, the Launch Control XL - it combines 24 knobs, eight faders and two rows of Clip Launch style buttons into a single unit.

As well as the on board Ableton Live templates and class compliant iOS connectivity you can edit and create your own template, making a customisable control surface as you wish

Also comes with 1GB of Loopmasters content

Yes yes, another Live control surface, what a surprise! and how innovative :| How about an SL MK III already with a refined (and operative) automap???

They will have shot themselves in the foot if this doesnt have a hardware midi out ...it could be so useful for straight hardware with no computer , not least adding knob/fader per functionality to the switched parameters of their own BassStation2 ! , but pulse2 , mopho,tetra, struthis etc would all love this as a front end....if it has hardware midi out

The trick is if it's class-compliant usb midi. There's a box that will translate any classcomp usb device to standard 5-pin din. That would also mean that you could use this with mobile devices too.

I like it. Great partner with Launchpad, super lightweight and small enough to take it anywhere you wanna go. For what it is does it fits nicely with the rest of the Launch Control family. Street price €239,-
