Focusrite has announced details of the forthcoming Scarlett Solo which they say  offers Focusrite quality sound in their most affordable interface ever.

A spokesperson told us, "Compact and simple, Solo is every bit a Scarlett. It has the same preamp quality and signature red metal case the rest of the range. The only difference is the size - and the price. That's the driving force behind the Scarlett range - to create the best sounding interface for every budget. For Focusrite, sound is everything."
