We saw a sneak of this at MusikMesse 2014 - without any real details, but as is now customary with Roland in September, there's a slew of new products announced. The SBX-1 Sync Box is one of the more interesting - described as a universal synchronization hub.

It can talk to your AIRA products, vintage TB and TR units with MIDI Din Sync, plus CV/Gate outputs for controlling other CV synths - perhaps even non Roland models.

Folks were wwondering why no CV/Gate onthe existing AIRA models and this is why. Another neat feature is the ability to create USB/MIDI synced LFO patterns to send out of the CV jacks.

In and Outs

  • USB
  • 2x MIDI DIN Outs, 1x DIN Sync IN
  • 2x MIDI Outs, 1x MIDI In
  • 1x CV, 1x Gate (switchable polarity)
  • 1 CV bend (Whole/Oct or LFO out)
  • 1x AUX  CV output

Pricing information is not yet available.
