The original Skoog was launched on last year and featured in the Apple Store (and still is). Primarilly to be used as an education tool to help kids create music, it has a very distinctive look. Kind of like a Fischer Price squeezy toy.

Now Skoog 2.0 builds on that to create a wireless experience, and add more sensitivity to the squishy sensors - they now operate in 3D squish!

Editors are available for Android, iOS (free), Mac and Windows (at an additional cost of £59) to configure your Skoog 2.0 to your requirements. They also come with a couple of sound creation Apps: Skoog Music - a sound engine and cofigurator and mogo - a dedicated virtual analogue synth app (both available March 2015). Plans are also afoot to create an Ableton Live Plug-in.

The project to complete the Skoog 2.0 is on Indiegogo, they are looking to raise £75,000 by mid December 2014, to enable tooling and production for end of March 2015 shipping target. - Packages range from £159 for the Skoog 2.0 to £279 which gets you the Skoog 2.0, Mac/PC versions of Skoog Music  program site license, Mogo for PC/Mac and the Ableton Live Plug-in. So base price is consderably less expensive than the original Skoog (£379.95).

You can invest in the project over at IndieGogo as of now.
