Positive Grid has updated their recently launched BIAS Desktop guitar amp plug-in with amp matched presets personally created and engineered by artists such as Mark Holcomb from Periphery, Ola Englund, Rusty Cooley, and other professional recording artists. All these presets we created using the same amp, cab, and mic configuration as they use in the studio for album recordings.

The BIAS Desktop update includes several amp matched presets based on the following amplifiers and are immediately available on the ToneCloud virtual amp sharing platform:

  • Mesa Boogie Mark V
  • Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier
  • Mesa Boogie Trieple Rectifier
  • Mesa Boogie .50 Caliber
  • Orange TH30
  • Fender Hot Rod DeVille
  • Carvin Legacy
  • Marshall Mode Four
  • Marshall 25/50
  • Fender Twin Reverb
  • Laney Ironheart
  • Laney VH100
  • Bogner Ubeschall
  • Peavey 6534

About BIAS Desktop
Instead of providing a fixed number of amp models, BIAS Desktop (AAX/RTAS/AU/VST) represents an entirely new concept: Using its simple and intuitive interface, you can design your own amp models, use Amp Matching Technology (see video below) to capture the sound of any tube or solid-state amplifier, and share and download amp models from ToneCloud.
