NAMM 2015: Catalinbread Valcoder Tremolo Pedal In Action

That classic Valco Supro trem sound in a pedal   23-Jan-15

    MP4 5:54 mins

Catalinbread have announced the release of their new Valcoder tremolo pedal, and we swung by their booth at NAMM 2015 to hear it in action.

The pedal aims to recreate the sound of the Valco era Supro amps, which was popularised by one Jimmy Page (and later used by guys like Jack White).

Howard from Catalinbread gave us a demonstration of the pedal's capabilities, and as Rich says in the video, it really does take you to "a happy place".

If you're a big tremolo fan then the chances are you really dig those classic old trem sounds, back when you bought an amp because you liked the sound of the built-in tremolo unit.

That's exactly what the guys at Catalinbread have replicated with the Valcoder. You can hear it in action in the video above.
