Steiberg added to their hardware range today with the news of thier new USB UR242 - a 4 in, 2 out USB 2.0 audio interface.
The unit is class compliant - and gives you twin Class-A mic preamps - these are Yamaha's D-PRE - as you know Yamaha owns Steinberg, as well as a a pair of regular line inputs.
It also comes with Cubase AI to get you started right out of the box, and presumably act as a gateway DAW to more of Steinbergs other DAW offerings.
Also included are MIDI I/O and DSP Mix FX which run on the on-board SSP2 DSP chip, providing REV-X, Guitar Amps and the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip.
Additionally there's the Loopback function for adding audio streams and live inputs out to streaming software like Skype - useful for podcasts and live streaming use.
Available this month at your Steinberg dealer and online for a suggested retail price of €209 Euros / $249
