AKG is introducing the new K181 DJ UE reference class DJ headphones, which they say have been developed based on input from professional DJs. They tell us that the K181 DJ UE (Ultimate Edition) headphones are built for professional DJ use in any club environment.
The new headphones feature a closed back design and a sturdy 50 mm transducer, which AKG claims delivers enough power to withstand even the strongest PA speakers, especially for pre-fader listening. They say that, for loud working conditions, the Bass Boost will help DJs better hear low frequencies, while the headphones' coiled cable offers freedom to move without stepping on a cable.
Philipp Schuster, Product Line Manager, Headphones, AKG, told us, "The new K181 DJ UE headphones are the result of our listening to the needs and demands of our DJ customers in the field. In speaking with our customers, we learned that some of their priorities include freedom of movement, high power and strong low-frequency reproduction. We feel the K181 DJ UE headphones fulfill these requirements and more!"
