The Werkstatt is definitely the cheapest way to get that Moog sound you have always wanted. It also a very hackable semi-modular little beast.

We like the Werkstatt so much that we included it in our semi-modular feature

In this video we get a look at how you can add arpeggiator function to the synth with just a few extra components. The Werkstatt is sold as a kit, so before you even build it you could add this functionality if you wanted to.

This mod does not require any soldering if you were worried about getting your hands dirty. Heres a list of everything you will need to complete the mod:

- Breadboard

- 10k Resistor

- 2.2uF Capacitor

- Philips Head Screwdriver

- Jumper cables

- Arduino UNO

You will also need a computer to upload the code onto the the Arduino Microcontroller.

You can pick up an Arduino UNO for around about £25, and the programming software is free. There are also loads of other fun projects you can make with an Arduino.

There are also loads more great mods for the Werstatt over on the Moog Youtube channel:
