May 30th 2015 - sees another Brighton Modular Meet in the UK. Held at the University of Sussex (link opens map) ACCA Creativity Zone.

Its a gathering of modular collectors, enthusiasts and manufacturers, showing off their setups. As well as regular exhibitors, Roland will be there showing off their latest AIRA modular range too, as well as Thonk, London Modular, Expert Sleepers, Abstract Data, AJH Synth, Lamond Designs, Loudest Warning, Music Thing Modular, Synovatron and others.

Sonicstate Brighton Modular Meet 2015We are also running a competition - if you take your setup along you can enter!

All you have to do to enter is upload a clip to Instagram  tagged #BMMEET15 and #SONICSTATEUK of your setup in action recorded at the show, recorded on your mobile device.

We will post  entries to a dedicated page where our readers can vote for their favourite clip, the winner with the most likes wins those excellent prizes. Winner announced 8th June 2015.

There will be one winner, but they will get: a fully expanded Turing Machine module - donated by Thonk, and 10 Tip Top Audio Stackable cables - from London Modular.

We'll also be there with a camera crew for impromptu video peices of what we find.

  • The event will start at about 10am and finish by 5pm.
  • There is limited space, but it's a pretty big room.
  • People should bring their own speakers and / or headphones.
  • People should bring plugs and extension cables too.
  • Free coffee and tea
