Until quite recently, UK based Abstract Data were more known for their desktop synths and effects, with the Kicker (Low frequency percussion synth), Synthex (Analog Synth and sound effects generator) and ADX series units.
Despite having added Eurorack modules to their range in 2011, at the start of 2015 they announced the introduction of five, (yes 5!) modules for Eurorack. So we guess they must be pretty darned busy then.
This is my main work bench. It's where each new product starts and where the bulk of the design, assemble, calibration and testing work is done. All the vitals are there - oscilloscope, multi-meter, soldering iron, magnifying glass, vices and a healthy selection of hand tools. I don't own mountains of gear but every piece of kit gets used on every job.
Abstract Data's boards are manufactured and assembled entirely in the UK. Final assembly (putting on the front panels, knobs and hex-nuts), testing and calibration is all done in-house. That makes sure every single module gets checked and tested before it goes on sale.
My own personal money pit. I've had a few different rigs over the years. I started quite small and got up to 2x 9U x 84HP a few years back. I'm now down to this 6U x 104 HP Enclave case for demos, trade shows and making music and a second 104HP Thonk skiff for prototyping and testing. This is definitely my favourite rig
