iZotope has announced a permanent price reduction on their Trash 2 distortion engine. The plug-in is now available for the lowest price ever of $99, and also includes two free Expansion Packs (Classic Textures and Edge) full of patches and impulses for additional creative experimentation. Here's more details direct from iZotope...

Trash has been used on chart-topping tracks like Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack," as well as albums including With Teeth by Nine Inch Nails, Ya-Kay-May by Galactic, and I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside by Earl Sweatshirt.

Trash 2 combines the power of multiband, dual-stage distortions and advanced post-filtering for immediate sonic transformation. Users can give their low end some thump, get a warm crunch on the midrange, and let their high end soar. Trash can be used to distort any track: not just guitars and basses, but drums, synths, pads, vocals, brass, woodwinds, and more.

Every purchase of Trash 2 automatically includes iZotope's two expansion packs, Classic Textures and Edge,  for free. With a sophisticated sense of restraint, the Classic Textures Expansion Pack offers users subtle nuance for gently texturizing any track. Users can explore a wide palette of 30+ new impulses, from dark vinyl to classroom projectors to crackling fires, and 70 new presets that coat a mix in everything from 80's synth grit to warm wax to earthy, retro moods.

Bit-crushed, filtered, and filled with an extra-dirty vibe, the Edge Expansion Pack presets offer a more angular, vintage, and experimental "edge" to the Trash 2 experience. With 30 new impulse responses for further tone coloring and 70 new presets built directly for these impulses, the Edge Expansion content enhances the best of Trash 2's warm, jagged, nasty, subtle, classic, out-there sound.

Pricing and Availability:
Trash 2 is available for $99 on iZotope's website and at select retailers.
