WMD does not stand for Weapons of Mass Destruction - as one might foolishly think based on some of the names of their models,  but William Mathewson Devices. They are based in Colorado, USA and have recently moved to larger premises - which is a good thing.

As with many Eurorack manufacturers, they also build effects pedals, with a penchant for dirve and distortion. Their Eurorack range encompass an entire selection of modules - you can create an complete WMD instrument if you wish. Indeed their Monolith self contained synthesizer with keyboard and case does just that.

Whatever they create, WMD work to five basic guidelines: No Digital Modelling, Depth and Tone, Control, Nontraditional Features and Quality.

We get a look around their new premises.

Main room and dogs

This is our warehouse and another workstation featuring our brand new Pick and Place machine.  This is where we make prototypes, populate PCBs and pack up the products to be shipped out.  In this picture our intern Bear is look for someone to throw her a bone.  Always distracted, that one is.
