4drX describes MidiKeySwitcher as a VST plug-in which defines simple 2-key switches to select a Midi Channel and send Midi Messages to select Programs and Banks+SubBanks from a Midi keyboard set to a fixed channel.
They tell us that its ultimate purpose is to free the keyboard player from the computer mouse to browse plugin presets (Programs and Banks) and be able to change instruments (Midi Channel) without having to press convoluted combinations of buttons.
