Sinevibes has released Hologram, a Audio Unit effect thatthey say re-synthesizes the sound in real time.
Hologram splits the input signal into multiple frequency bands, analyzes their dynamics, and then recreates the signal's spectrum with an array of sine oscillators. The result is described by Sinevibes as a wide variety of pleasantly smooth synthetic tones whose spectral and dynamic characteristics are controlled by the input audio. Hologram also has two multi-waveform modulators that apply rhythmic motion to its re-synthesis engine.
Hologram features a large spectrogram view to allows precise viewing of what the effect is doing.
