We've just been informed of some research on how streaming is changing the music industry, so have posted the researcher's resulting infographic so you can see the figures for yourself.

While streaming is becoming increasingly popular and many artists may be getting more exposure, it seems that income received by the artists - and that may be you - is decreasing at a rapid rate.

The researchers say that with the rise of streaming (likely due to a lower cost - £9.99 for 30 million songs to stream vs one album download), which continues to almost double each year, digital downloads are dying a rapid death and the past year has seen the number of downloads decline at a rate which is over double that at which CD sales are dropping. They also note that lower incomes from these streams are pushing up the price of gigs and merchandise. Here's the infographic - now let us know what you think..
