Waves Factory tells us that Demonic Virtuoso is a sample library for Kontakt 4 and above based on a harpsichord recorded at the same studio as Drum Circle and Suspended Cymbals. This what they have to say about it...

The harpsichord was widely used in Renaissance and Baroque music. During the late 18th century, it gradually disappeared from the musical scene with the rise of the piano. But in the 20th century, it made a resurgence, being used in historically informed performance of older music, in new (contemporary) compositions, and in popular culture.

Recorded with 3 microphone positions: close, decca and outrigger. 4 round robin, all notes sampled (no pitch shifting), time based release samples. Behaviour, sound and playability faithfully replicated thanks to our advanced script. We can proudly say that there are no difference between this library and the original instrument.

  • On the left section of the GUI you can apply low pass and high pass filters, control the width from stereo to mono to reversed stereo and set the number of round robin repetitions.
  • On the center panel you can purge/load and set the volume of each microphone position.
  • On the right section you can control the volume of the release samples, set an start offset in milliseconds, control the velocity curve and the dynamic range.

Rack Effects script included with 12 DSP effects including convolution with 30 impulses.
