At the recent NAMM 2016 show in Anaheim Calfironia, Diego Stocco was presenting on the Spectrasonics booth. We met him at the Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to catch it. Using Omnisphere 2.0 as the synthesis engine Diego transformed the sound of the leaf blower - the bane of his life - as a regular background and interference to his recording work, which requires some fairly quiet atmospheric recordings, and we like to think partially inspired by an appearance on Sonic TALK 242 0 where the leafblower was a constant accompaniment to his appearance.
In this sound design masterclass, Diego transforms the sound of the cursed piece of garden machinery and creates a piece of music from it.
Still tiny and DIY but impressive though
