Advance has been very popular for Akai, the advance system is now used in Rhianna's live rig to control plug-ins from many different companies.

Some of the features of Advance VIP 2.0 are:

- VST FX support
- 500+ Effects plugin maps
- Effects browser
- 4 inserts and sends per channel
- 4 bus channels
- Savable effects chains
- Custom control mode (combine controls from any plugin in your multi, including FX)
- Save function for Multi's (no longer saved automatically!)
