Sound Technology Ltd, a leading UK distributor of musical instruments and pro audio equipment, has begun distribution of Teenage Engineering products in the UK & ROI. Marking a change from a direct-to-dealer distribution model, stock of all Teenage Engineering products will be arriving with Sound Technology next week. Here's Sound Technology's press statement...

Based in Stockholm, Teenage Engineering began in 2007 as a consulting studio for new consumer and communication products. With in-house electronic engineering, software development, mechanical engineering, industrial design and marketing, its client list includes Ikea, New Balance and Absolut Vodka.

In 2011, Teenage Engineering's first own-branded product was released. The OP-1 is a musical instrument and mini studio in a format small enough to fit in a backpack. With 16 hours of battery life it opens up a completely new way of creating music for professional producers, artists and beginners alike. It has become popular with many famous artists and users all over the world.

The Teenage Engineering product portfolio today now also includes the brilliant Pocket Operators, a range of six affordable calculator-sized pocket synthesisers that includes drum machines, bass synths, lead synths, noise percussion and more. All feature studio sound quality, quirky LCD displays, built-in sequencers, and the ability to sync multiple units.

The company's OD-11 Multi-Room Speaker is a re-engineering of the acclaimed Carlsson loudspeaker of the 1970s, re-invented with the latest WiFi technology and multi-room connectivity.
