Alex Smoke is an electronic music producer and composer from Glasgow. Having released five albums as Alex Smoke and Wraetlic Alex has worked on many different projects, including remixes for Steve Reich, Depeche Mode, writing music for film and TV and most recently working with the Scottish Ensemble to score the 1926 film of Faust.

Alex tours pretty extensively playing live sets and DJing all over the world. For the Stekker festival Alex was playing a live set. Throughout the week Alex starting working with Maarten Vos a Kytopia and Utrecht resident musician who blends live electronics with cello to great effect.

The week ended with Alex and Maarten actually playing a live set together at the festival, which unfortunately we weren't able to witness...
