Propellerhead tells us that, inspired by effects developments in the modular world, Fritz by Lectric Panda uses granular audio treatment to create complex and psychedelic effects like pitch shifting, drone synthesis, stutters, glitches, reverbs, pitch smearing, time smearing, chord generation, texture clouds, sonic bursting, and some effects too strange to be named. Basically: feed it any sound and hear a spaced out interpretation of that sound coming out.

A spokesperson said, "Fritz is a granular effects device. Incoming audio is sampled and played back in small segments called grains. Many grains can play back at the same time, each with its own set of parameters. This simple mechanism can create complex and psychedelic effects including pitch shifting, drone synthesis, stutters, glitches, reverbs, pitch smearing, time smearing, chord generation, texture clouds, sonic bursting, and many effects that are too strange to be named. Fritz comes with a set of beautiful patches and also an intelligent patch generator guaranteed to cause time and space to fold."
