The Roland booth at BPM was a hive of activity, with the buzz of the recent 24 hour 909 day receding, they had many of the models announced on show. We got a look at the System-8, the DJ808 and finally the Boutique trio of TR-09 (the cute ACB remake of the legendary TR-909) the TB-03 the classic TB-303 Bassline and the VP-03 the VP-330 vocoder.
David takes us through the three and shows some interesting features - such as the TR-09 ability to send out a dedicated trigger output - for running external gear, the TB-03 with Trigger In and CV/Gate output, on board FX and more.
David also shows us some of the cool features of the VP-03, which has per step sampling, formant shifting and the classic features of the VP-330, the strings and voice sections.
All three will be available from early October, we think the prices are going to be TB and VP at £339 and the TR-09 at £369 (to be confirmed)
